Relicing A Relic, from Mild to HEAVILY AGED

Ok so I just got in this Fender Road Worn 60s strat in Olympic white, from all the pictures I have found on the web they really have consistent wear patterns. Well that doesnt fly for me

I knew going in I was going to take this from road worn, to decades of abuse, I love the Heavy Relics. Having knowledge of doing relic work over the years, this model made a perfect candidate.

First up we have to take Fender's sanded wear patterns and make them more convincing. Its a shame they just sanded areas down, the only place that would have smooth transitions is the forearm wear on the front, the rest would be worn from belt buckles, mic stands, and well you name it.

Again Fender really didnt do the best job mimicing relic work by just sanding, the back really in my eyes would be tore up from being played hard. So again I had to work with what they put on there and age it up to look more realistic.
