Removing the neck finish - Do I have to remove the lo pro ??

I am going to remove the sticky finish on the back of the neck according to the instructions in the tech area. I will remove the neck while doing the modification. It says: "Lock the nut and proceed with the instructions with removing the tremolo from "Nut Height Setup"." I may be stupid, but does it mean I have to remove the lo pro? If it does, how ??

-replies will be appreciated

to remove the neck easily, you must remove the tremolo first. That is also in the Tech Setup area. By locking the nut, you'll keep the guitar instantly re-tunable when you reinstall the neck and bridge.

BUT... if the trem/strings will be in the way while working in this manner, I suggest you remove the trem, strings, etc and work on the neck comfortably... glen

There's no *need to remove the trem, you can just block it and remove the strings from the saddles, neck is free to pull. Lock the strings back in before reinstalling the neck, same result as pulling the trem.

.....Or you could wait until it's time for a string change and do it then. That way you won't have the strings getting in the way while you sand. *Yeah there's no need to remove the trem just block it.
