Replacement Tuning Pegs

Hey guys, I tried posting this in the "Other Ibanez" section and didn't get any responses so hopefuly someone here can help me out.

I have an RG 4ex1, which I think has the Wizard II neck. I am wanting to replace the chrome tuning machines with black ones. I have looked all over and found some like these http://www.axcessories.com/proddetai...=axtnrsch6rtbs , but I am not sure if they will fit right.

Is there a place I can get a replacement set that will fit perfectly? I don't mind if I have to drill holes for the set screws, but I dont want to get some that have the posts too small or too big etc..

I checked ibanezrules but he is sold out.....

Thanks!

Re: Replacement Tuning Pegs

No one here has ever bought replacement machine heads for an Ibanez? No one here has any input at all?

Hrmm...strange.

Re: Replacement Tuning Pegs

go see your local Ibanez dealer.
sometimes they might have some in stock.
the one near me has a few sets.

if all you're wanting to do is change it because of color, it's not worth it.

mindswell use that money on something else.

Re: Replacement Tuning Pegs

There are no local "Ibanez" dealers around here..there are a few places that sell some Ibanez guitars, but none of them cary the parts I need.

The color is the main thing, and yes it is worth it, but I wouldn't mind upgrading to some better tuners like Gotoh's that are on the JEM's.

I just need to find a place that sells them and to make sure that they will fit my guitar...

http://www.universaljems.com/shop.htm

that link should give you all the parts and accessories to fit almost any Ibanez guitar.

You can buy Gotoh tuners from a number of places. If you actually update your location, we might be able to help more.

Re: Replacement Tuning Pegs

Alright, thanks for the input.

I am looking at these "TK_0760-003
Gotoh Mini Tuning Keys, Black, 6-in-line,
With Screws, 16:1"

Now, the word "Mini" is throwing me off. Do those fit a regular sized guitar or are they for little kiddy guitars? They are only $39 so if those will work I will get those.

Thanks!

Re: Replacement Tuning Pegs

mini's are usually just the size of the tuning key, the bit you physically turn...

i bought a set of schaller locking tuners that retrofitted with the ibanez gotoh's perfectly

Re: Replacement Tuning Pegs

I put planet waves auto-trim locking tuners on my RGA. They fit without any fuss, and changing strings is a breeze. I recommend them. That and a set of seymour duncan phat cats was all she needed.

Nice wolf! Im not so fond of the look of the phat cats but i know they sound awesome. How about a shot of your headstock from the front?
