Replacing pickguard - How do I remove the tone and volume kn
I want to replace the pickguard on my Jem 7DBK with a new one (same style pickguard but new) and I want to know how to remove the TOne and
Volume knobs
properly so I do not break them. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Replacing pickguard
Take 2 heavy picks and work them in under the knobs, a little manipulating and the knobs will work their way up the shaft.

Replacing pickguard
the knobs pull right off. You might have to pry them a little... a 1.5mm guitar pick is thick enough to use and won't scratch the guard. Pry up, then rotate the knob a bit... to keep the force off one spot.. This will prevent the shaft from pulling out or bending... glen

Replacing pickguard
Yup, I like to turn the knob around while I pry up, it comes off quite easily in fact.

Replacing pickguard
=o) LOL yup all the above techniques are the best unless you have way to much money and don't know what to do with it. Then you can buy the
$34.95 Proper tool
which I think is a joke but they are serious....
