Replacing the nut...

I recently got a new nut for my RG7620 [Because it was the only way I could get the toplocks, apparently] and the toplocks I got with it won't fit in the nut already on the guitar (They're too big, apparently)

So the only reasonable solution I have (Since I already waited about 3 weeks for this) is to replace the nut itself with the new one. I just want to know if there's anything I should keep in mind, to avoid screwing things up majorly...

Ibanez 7 nuts use 10.5mm pads, most others use 11mm.

That wasn't exactly what I was asking about, but that's nice to know anyway. (Yeah, the ones I got were 11mm...)

My main question was if there was anything to keep in mind while replacing the nut itself...since that seems to be the most rational option at this point.

Dude, just swap them. Either it fits or it doesn't, no calculus required.
