OK, if I am understanding your problem correctly ...
The posts (or studs) screw into the anchors (the metal sleeves pressed into the wood). Those are
locking studs, so you have to loosen the small inner set screw before trying to turn the large outer stud. (perhaps why you broke the stud) The stud can be unscrewed all the way out of the anchor, and a new stud screwed into the anchor. The anchor does not need to be replaced unless damaged or loose.
The anchor will not be glued in unless it was already loose and had been repaired.
Follow the directions on Rich's site (swirl banner at the top of the page) ... remove the trem with the strings attached. Unscrew the old stud and screw in the new one. Pop the trem back on and adjust the action and tuning. You are done. Easy.
