Re: restore white color

Call Stew-Mac and find out what they can recommend. There are some finishing compounds that can clean up a finish but it's not guaranteed that they'll get any yellow-like color from a paint job.

Re: restore white color

The guitar has sun-damage all the way down to the paint. Really nothing you can do to the body
other than to repaint. My RG350DX did the same after one year, so that's why I am
having a builder do a root beer Jem theme with the guitar currently. Strip it down and burn
it up!!!!!! Since the lacquer is essentially plastic, an art teacher friend of mine says that
light colors will quickly tarnish due to light exposure. For my finish, this would essentially
improve the effect of a root beeresque effect. I would say to move on to another guitar IMO.
