RG350ex project

I'm making this thread to show my current progress on my RG350ex project. It's going to be a a completely custom build. I plan on keeping this updated until it's finished, so keep watch!

What I have as of now:

Body: RG350ex
Neck: RG370dx

I had to short out and get the Edge 3. I know I know, you already told me to use a Gotoh, but I ran short on $$$. I would like to try out the Edge 3 for myself before jumping to everyone's "it sucks" conclusion, but I do plan on upgrading in the future.

Got to work on the neck today. Covered the whole thing in tape, and cleared over the (medicinal ) marijuana sticker.
I'm going with a black-on-green look for this project.






I've also ordered the rest of the parts I need; push/pull pot, knob, Evo 2 in green, black tuners, etc.
Just waiting to custom order a pickguard, but I'm debating on a color.
I was thinking like a gray-tinted clear guard. Any ideas?

Got some parts yesterday and today. Trem and tuners came yesterday, and locking nut came today (mind you all my parts are from the bay). Also finished the clear on the neck, looks much smoother now. I will post some pics later.

I just need to make up my mind on a pickguard color, and I need to order some fine threaded studs (thanks for the help Rich).

Once this Valspar High Gloss clear fully cures, I can buff out the orange-peel.



Anyways, the Evo 2 is really nice looking. Got it from banjomikez on the bay, also sent me some cool stickers.

Very fitting

Got the volume knob, copper tape, strings, peg winder, etc (pics tomorrow). I'm waiting on the push/pull pot to come in. All that's left is the fine threaded studs and a pickguard.

And just ordered the studs from Rich. 2-3 weeks from today it should be complete
