RG550 and RG560 body differences

Hi,

what are the differences between these 2 body types?

Is the tone/volume/switch at same place?
Is there differences in the body shape?
How about the finish?



Im asking because i started to think of adjusting the pickup height.
In rg560 you cant screw the singlecoil pickups in there, cause they lay on the bottom already :/

Probably the same, just with different pick-up routing.

I'm guessing you were thinking of putting a pickguard on it. If you put a piece of foam behind the single coil, you can adjust it to whatever height you want. I did it on my RG-517 to get the single coil up to where I wanted it.

The volume pot got moved at some point so a new pickguard may not align with the older 560. Any good luthier could route the pickup hole a little deeper if you need that. Body shape and finishes are all the same on the early RG5xx guitars. Slight changes for the newer AANJ versions.
