I've had the idea of doing a refin on my black RG7321 for quite some time. I really like the white Ibanez Universe, so this is my take on it. Or a little 'tribute' or something. At least a "inspired by"...
The weather's really great nowadays. Sunny and perfect for bringing out the spray can. So did I today.
First, this is the guitar 'pre refin'.
A little fix-up needs to be done...
Taking of the shine on the factory finish, using 180 grit sand paper. I'm not removing the finish and will be using it as a base for the new finish.
And now the fun begins...
I got some drips, but they were easily flattened.
If the weather stays this good, I'll be doing the first coats of white next weekend.
