RGT42 High E 13th Fret Choke/Buzz

Hello All,

I've recently bought a new RGT42 and recently noticed a buzz / choke on the 13th fret of the high E. The choke is only there, and isn't evident on the 12th or 14th - just the 13th.

I've tried raising the action (at first to beyond what I would like, then to extremes) giving the truss rod more relief, and tuning the intonation.

The problem persists, and is for me a deal breaker. If I can't fix this, it's going back to the shop which would be a shame because I plays well bar this problem.

Can anybody render any assistance or advice please?

Hey there, it sounds like you probably have too much relief. Try tightening the truss rod, that should get the buzz out.

cheers for the help, the problem went away when I put the fine tune down and re-tuned at the neck.
