Rocktron Hush IICX - Where do you push your hush unit?

I hope I'm posting this in the right area. *In any case, I just picked up a Roctron Hush IICX that came in used. *I tested it and loved the sensitivity and the quickness it has in cutting out unwanted noise. *It seems great so far. *My question is where do you folks put a hush unit in your rack chain? *I have heard so many variations but I'd like to hear what you think is best. *Rocktron's site recommends putting it this way: *Preamp->Hush unit->Effects Unit->Poweramp. *I normally loop my effects into my preamp but with a hush unit my delays might get chopped short. Right now I have the Hush unit in front of my preamp and it works well, but I'm going to try Rocktron's method later. What's your experience??

Rocktron Hush IICX

IMHO, I would place any noise-reduction unit after the preamp and before a delay so the tail doesn't get chopped, as you mentioned.

Rocktron Hush IICX

I just tried Roctron's method of putting it between the preamp and effects. *This makes the most sense, but I just don't want to crush my tone by going through my effects processor. *It sounded pretty good though and of course the effects were able to ring true to the end. *This thing really knows when to cut the signal off. *It's very good and very sensitive. *I have zero noise on clean and dirty channels now.
