Sanding off the finish - on my rg550
Can anyone tell me if there are any disadvantages(sp?) to leaving the guitar without a finish? Thanks.

Sanding off the finish
It changes the tone which can be good or bad depending on the type you prefer........
Also the wood if not sealed in some way will absorb all the dirt and oil from handling which will give you a very un-even look in time.....

Sanding off the finish
Looks like it is time for me to build another tutorial.....
This time though I am going to show three different ways to strip a body because even though I have my favorite way it is not the only way.....
The rough part that keeps getting bigger on you is actually soft wood that could use a wood sealor to condition down the grain and allow you finish it off to a smooth surface without ending up with a golf divit on the surface. I know It's a poor comparison but when your refinishing a body even a pinprick sized hole or bump can become a major problem.

Sanding off the finish
Turns out that the rough spot on the body is just the wood grain, turns out their was some sort of sealer I had to get through.
