Scallop neck service in UK
does anyone know of any luthiers in England who offer scallop services? I'm looking to get my rg's neck fully scalloped but don't want the risk of sending it over to america.

Just click on the workshop link on their page, they'll do it.

A lot.
It depends because it's a very hit and miss job, if some of the fretboard is done badly, your going to need a new neck. If you give them a ring they will probably do it, and you
local music store
will probably do it too, they usually have a backroom guy who does the work for them, you just have to ask.

I know you don't want to send to the US but I've heard a lot of good things about Smooth Grooves Scallop Service on e-bay, cheap too at only $110 + shipping.

I've heard you can do it yourself with a particular dremel tool without much of a bother. Let me look for the link and I'll post it. I think the tool was about 50 bucks or so.

That's the one! The
Contour Sander
I've never tried it, but I've heard it makes doing a board yourself pretty simple.

Barrie indeed has a solid reputation and most famous UK
guitar players
have used his services at one time or another.
Also check Paul Creedy over at Arrowheadguitars.
He used to post here a few years ago and a few of the older UK jemsiters know him.

Re: Scallop neck service in UK
There is a link at the head of these pages for
Cottam Guitars
, who specialise in
Ibanez guitars
and I'm pretty sure they would offer that service.
