Feel free to contact me about the scalloping. I did my first neck in 1985 and have done several since. I just had a feel for the technique. When I did my first one, I took a guitar to a
music store tech for a wiring job and the tech opened the case and said "Holy **** man, what happened to your neck?" because he hadn't seen one done before. He called out a couple other guys and it started an interesting conversation. One of the guys said " I think that Swedish dude has his done like this". Looking back it's kindof funny.
I just did my RG321 neck with a mild scallop. There has to be at least a dozen good sites out there describing the process. There are a couple people who can do your neck for short money, probably less than $125. You'd be better to pay one of these guys who are experienced. I'd hate to see you hack a good neck up. In my experience, other than aesthetics, it doesn't make a heck of a difference in playing.
