Setups in NYC--Help me find this guy please!!

Hello all, been a long time since I posted on Jemsite, hope all is well.

I am trying to find the guy or shop, "I believe it was a japanese guy", here in New York City, that is supposed to be one of the best with setups for Ibanez's. I remember reading about it here, and I have just been searching this board for the past hour, and I cant seem to find the info. I hope he is still around.

If anyone could help out, or at least recommend someone in NYC or surrounding area a good tech, I would appreciate it. I was taking my Axe's to a particular person, but he ended up moving out of state, and shutting down his shop to startup somewhere down south, so I am kinda screwed. And no way am I taking them to Sam Ash or Guitar Center to mess around with.

Thanks again

Check out www.newyorkguitarrepair.com Located on the upper west side.

Evan does fantastic work, has reasonable rates and he's not an a**hole

BTW: He is NOT Japanese.

It might work out for you to have Rich Harris do the set up? Shipping from NYC to NJ would be about a day each way & you would know the person working on it knows Ibanez's....

I can't help you find the Japanese guy but another option would be peekammose on West 30th in the recording arts building. I had them do a fret job on one of my Strats & it came out excellent. They have a Plek machine there if that floats your boat.

How about a guy who built Ibanez guitars in the California factory?

http://www.hotrod6strings.com/

Chris is 60 miles from you and NO ONE does Ibanez better.
