Shielding PU cavity on hollowbody?

I am doing a hollowbody project and I was wondering if I should shield the pickup cavities? Can anyone comment if it would be beneficial or a waste of time?

the pickups I am using are a Gibson 490T and a Seymour Duncan '59.thanks in advance.
