should i bring my guitar in for repairs?

I've been having some trouble with my js1000 lately. hope you guys could help.
first, those shins or whatever you call them, those metal plates under the locking nut, keep 'slipping' out. they get out so far that they touch the strings. could this be the reason my guitar goes out of tune so easily, and my string are breaking faster tham ever? the other problem is on the trem. my JS is equiped with the lo-pro edge, with that nifty whammy that can be inserted right in... well, the whammy is really loose. not that it swings around and doesn't hold its place, i mean really lose, that you could push or pull the whammy to a certien degree without affecting the pitch... i don't know how clear that is..... anyway, thanks for the help guys!

Place shim back under the locking nut where it belongs. Then make sure the locking nut is tight. Sounds like your locking nut is way to loose! Once you finish make sure to double check the retainer bar to make sure it's still adjusted properly. As far as your trem bar goes, and any other questions you may have check out the links below:

First, grab your 2.5mm allen wrench, place the smims back under the nut where they're supposed to be, and tighten the nut from the back.

Stick the bar in and look closely at the holder [what you just stuck it in] move the bar around and see if the holder is moving in the base. if it is it needs tightening. If it's not you're just in bad need of some new bushings [the little white things] for your bar.

This will show you how it all goes together.

Thanks guys! but really, no need to argue over me...
I did like you said, and you know, it's funny how all you have to do is tighten a few screws, and my guitar is in perfect shape!! thanks again!
