should i buy a rg550 with a craked neck(rich please help!)??

some friend of mine its selling me an rg550,he is asking for 300 bucks(rg550 with paf pros and hs2) but it hads a repair(if that's the correct word) cracked neck.
So, if i buy it..... this kind of repair neck its going to be ok forever? or its going to crack again later???

The pic doesn't work for me. In my experience a repaired neck doesn't crack in the same spot again often. But that's not a guarantee. If you're having doubts I would take the guitar to a local (good) luthier and have him examin the neck and it's repair for you.

Yeah, haggle a little. Seems well repaired but you can grab a 550 neck off the bay if your still not happy; I'd go for it.

The repair looks fine but a break like that seriously affects resale value. Like everyone said, haggle.

A good wood glue will be stronger than the actual wood, so the repair is probably ok. Get it checked out though at a music store first before parting with your $300.

I have repaired necks and they hold fine, but there are a lot of rgs out there, so maybe wait for a better one.

thanks everyone. I've just bought the rg in 250 bucks!.
Well, the bridge its a little bit rusted but works great and i'm thinking to chrome it.
the body has several dings but i don't care because black finish cost here 40 bucks!
i don't know, maybe i'm going to customize it.....
