Gang:
OK. I changed all of the strings and cleaned the string blocks on my '88 777 the other day. I had blocked the trem from under the
string lock screws with a small pad of paper to maintain tension on the claw springs.
After changing strings, I notice that it's hard to fine-tune some strings, and discover these three little metal rectangles have come out, presumably from under the saddles, and become wedged under the string lock screws:
These little metal bits are not on the Edge parts diagram. I'm assuming that they're some kind of washer or spacer to go between the saddles and the main
trem plate. Yikes.
Questions:
1) What the heck are these things?
2) Should I get these bits back into the Edge toot sweet, or is it safe to wait for the next string change?
Thanks, gang.
