so, if I sand all the finish off a '91 RG 570 - sand sand al


yup, I'm thinking about refinishing this crappy '91 570 that's sitting in a local pawn shop, but here's the question. *What am I gonna find under there? *Will it be stainable wood, or just pock-marked filler wood? *

I'm in the middle of sanding down my '87 550 and I just finished the top and the flat part of back and the wood looks great, I have not found any filled holes or marks.

That is always the big question........

I have found under factory jobs (yup original) Flame maple tops.......

I have also found 3 peice bodys.......

Anyway you look at it the gamble is there but I would say go for it.........
