Some quick questions about swapping to an Edge Pro..

I'm swapping my Edge 2 for an Edge Pro and I have a couple questions....

-I'm only getting the bridge and arm, nothing else, should I get new posts??
-Also should I replace the springs?

In case your wondering I do lots of Vai type whammy tricks, like fluttering, and I need sensitive tremolo tension. I know the point of contact is crucial, will my old posts and springs hold up?

Thanks

you can try leaving the original posts and springs first. while you're at it, you'll help the posts doing their job by wrapping some teflon tape on their threads, to lock'em in place (not as stable as the stud locks, but better than nothing).

I had very wonky posts on a 2nd hand Ibanez.. The Teflon solution worked perfectly! It's been nearly a month now and everything is as good tuning wise on my other rg with an edge pro.. Perfect :-)

Nuno & Rich always have handy tips *2 thumbs up*

it's standard hardware store stuff. Used for taping threads that need to be watertight in plumbing.
