Split trem!

Remember one of the guitars in Steve Vai's collection that has a split Floyd Rose-type tremolo that let him whammy the bass and treble strings separately? Looks like somebody's made a commercial product out of the concept!

Check out the installation page... they have a version that fits recessed Floyd-type routing, and they include a graphite replacement nut that fits the Floyd nut mount as well. Also check out the stabilizer in the back... looks a LOT like the one we saw in the ZeroRocker pics.

I find it interesting. I remember Steve having something like this, as you mentioned. I'd like to check one out, at least.

Nice, but 4 octaves for a nonlocking trem seems a bit optimistic...

The DoubleWhammy has been out for several years. I recall seeing them at a NAMM show many years ago when they were introduced. Pretty interesting concept, but I wasn't really comfortable with the (2) bars. The upper one really gets in the way-definitely takes some getting used to!
