Stange volume pot problem, any ideas?

I just threw a new set of EMG's into a guitar of mine, and everything's in order, except that when I turn the volume off, it doesn't actually turn off. It reduces in volume until it's almost off, and when it hits zero, it comes back on at 10. Any idea what it could be?

Did you use the 25K pots that EMGs come with?

Sounds to me like you didn't use the included 25k pots.

yup, definitely replaced the 250k pots with 25k pots when I put them in. The only thing that I did differently from the norm was install a .50 cap, because I didn't have any others that were a closer match.
