Stiff Knobs!

I have a J Custom 97 RG Arch1, and both the volume and the tone knobs are so hard to turn, is there a way to make them turn easier? Or, do I have to buy new pots?

Re: Stiff Knobs!

i'd say buy new pots, the pots that came with my S, and an old rg i had had some tough pots, then i changed one on my rg and its way smoother, i havent changed the ones on my s yet.

stiff knobs....that's just hilarious

As for the TS, some new guitar needs getting used to, try turning them some more couple of times so that it becomes looser.

Re: Stiff Knobs!

My JC 7VV-1 had the same problem. I found that the problem was solved if I raised the knobs a little bit instead of having them completely against the body of the guitar. Hope that helps.

Why don't you post some pics of your axe man. The old JC's are my favourite Ibanezes!

Re: Stiff Knobs!

If someone can tell me how to post a pic and not just the link, I will. I got this RGARCH1 and a RG7CSD1, only guitars I got left.
