Well, I googled until I was blue in the face but couldn't find any real answers to my questions, so I guess it's time for a new thread.
I was wondering if anyone has ever or had any info on converting a TOM bridge from stop
tailpiece to string-through-body. Obviously you could just drill holes into the guitar, but my question is do they go straight through, at a 90 degree angle, or do they need to go in at slight angle? As I've never owned a string thru, I've never actually seen how they go through.
Also, how much of a sustain and tone difference would it really make?
