String height

I know this is a stupid question, but I know Rich measures at the 24th fret (some do at the 12th), but regardless, it is top of fret to bottom of string, not fretboard to bottom of string right? I got a slight buzz on my open B up to about the 5th fret, and I measured fret to string on my low E its like half of a 1/16" (don't have mm) but thats like 1mm or less haha. I think I need a raise, and not just my job haha.

Re: String height

Yes, it is from the top of the fret to the bottom of the string. 1/32" is about 3/4 mm. If that is your action at the 5th fret, I expect you have more that a "slight" fret buzz, but whatever you say.

You say it is a buzz on the open string. Is the buzz gone fretted at the first? If so, the problem is at the nut.

Re: String height

There is no relief on the neck its flat as can be so I can have the strings that low but I just raised them to 1/16" at the 24th on the low E (1.5mm or so). Buzz is mostly gone now but the strings feel so high now. I wouldn't think the strings should be this high on a neck with a radius this flat.

Re: String height

Ok after adjusting it back and forth many times I decided to leave it somewhat low (maybe 1.4mm and 1.3mm E and E) but would still want to go a little lower if it wasn't for that B string slightly buzzing. It buzzes open and through 1-7 frets and at the 23rd fret so I'm pretty certain its uneven fret wear and not the nut or neck bow. Again the neck probably has about 0.2 mm relief on it if that but I have worn the frets a little as its the only guitar I use. Any opinions or pictures?
