String tension

I just put a set of 10-52 (drop C tuning) on my pgm

and that is way too much tension on it

should I use a different gauge??

Do any companies make a 10-50 gauge or something similar just slightly heavier than a normal set of 10s

If you find 10-52 in Drop C is too much tension, going with 10-50 isn't going to help much. Try dropping down to a set of 9-42s and see how that feels.

that low C will probably slap him in the face 'cause it'll be flopping around so much with 9-42. :-)
but that was my first reaction. Too much tension in Drop C??????
i wonder if the guitar just needs a setup. maybe the action is too high.
how 'bout a hybrid 9-46 gage??? that gage feels nice in e flat tuning with a drop D(D flat).
