strings wont stay tuned???

I got a question. Kinda a newbie question for somone thats been playing for about 10 yrs or so, but I must admit, for the longest time my only concern with the guitar was jammin to release all stress, frustration, etc... you understand.
But anyways, I have an older (93) Ibanez, it came with basic trem (down only), I really dont use trem that much anyhow, but latly it seems to de-tune itself when I play? The strings are "new-er", but streched and should be good to go.
I did notice 2 things though:
1) tuners are slightly loose at peg nut, and
2) the bridge looks to be slightly stressed(even when the strings are fully de-tuned for travel) and trem is as low as it can be adjusted.

Any thought on the fore mentioned, and/or new perspectives/ideas and of course: solutions please!!!

Re: strings wont stay tuned???

Loose tuners could be a factor... also if your strings are thicker than what the nut was cut to be (or from years of use causing minor frays in the nut material), the strings can bind up slightly.

Has this guitar always done this?

No. I actually just noticed it the last time I changed the strings. I cant quite figure it out.

I use super slinky 9's, have for about 8-9 years now. same style, same size.

Correct me if im wrong, but thats ibanez standard size isnt it?
I think I read that in some recent browsing I was doing.
