Struggling to get decent action on S470

Hi,

I have an S470 which I am struggling to get the action right on. It's a 2003 model.

If I get the action low, at typical JEM / RG height, I get fret buzz. It's obvious on the low strings and of the choking/tone killing side on the high strings. I'm adjusting the trem height to do this.

I've seen a few threads regarding this guitar -- is it simply not possible to get the 'RG style' action with it? I read something about a radias mismatch ?

I haven't made any truss rod adjustments as I'm not comfortable with that, so will most likely send it in to a good tech who is in the area. I'd just appreciate your comments...

My Ibanez S470 (04 model) has excellent action. When I originally got mine it was all over the shop, and I sent it to my local tech and he fixed it right up. As long as the neck is nice and straight, it should be viable for a nice setup. I know with mine, the major adjustment was the nut height (it was freaking massive!).

So yeah, i think it's worth it to get a professional to do the initial setup, and then from there you can tweak a few things to your liking.
