Stupid pickup question - What if there was no pickup...

I am sending a pickup back to Dimarzio for their 30-day exchange policy. *I am going to just clip off the wires and leave about 0.5cm of wire so I know where to put the wires from the new pickup. * Anyways, will I cause any problems playing my guitar for a week with the bridge pickup completely removed like this?

Yup sure will when you hit your 5 way for the bridge position your signal will drop off completely just like having a off switch build on the front of the guitar =o)

If you're worried about physically damaging your guitar/electronics/amp... you won't. *-Andy
