Also some very hard asian guitar finishes will stand up to the superglue remover initially. So it will all seem fine and the superglue will get soft while the finish stays hard. But before you're done, since you're saturating the area with it, it might begin to soften. To avoid this, I always scrape or sand as much of the superglue away while its dry, so the remover is just for that last layer. The superglue itself could react to the finish too, so that after you get it removed you find a little reaction under there that has to be wetsaned and buffed. All in all no big deal, just be glad you didn't get glued through the paper towel.
