Swapping necks, will a Jem neck fit an RG? - Can I put a Jem

I'm pretty sure this will work, but I want to double check before I close this deal. *I've got a couple early 90s RG570s with the original neck joint. *I've got an opportunity to buy a Jem7RB neck for a pretty good deal. *The Jem7RBs have the original neck joint as well. *

I know the body shape (at the joint) is different between Jems and RGs with original neck joints, but is that the only difference? *Are there any concerns with this being a "no-brainer" fit on an RG570? *Thanks guys!

It should be a direct fit but you might need to shim for setup... glen

I wouldn't see any problem and as Glen said the only thing you might need to do is add a neck shim.....

my BFP neck fit my RG 750 body no problem

(may use a shim on it though)

The Jem neck fit the 570 perfectly! *I had to shim the neck side with a couple business cards, but now I'm rockin' *:biggrin:
