I'm srry stealthtastic but I think u should have stuck it out a bit longer and u prolly would have gotten one u like. Plus it's all about doing it urself that's what makes it so special.

I spent a while testing, I was aiming for OOTS quality but could not get there at all. IMO its pretty easy to get a fede/atd level swirl but the OOTS stuff is on a whole other level.

OOTS+ had fake looking swirls to begin with.
herc fede used rustoleum from home depot to begin with.
ATD (darren) first swirls on those strats sucked so bad.

so learning is fun and yes expensive and dont plan on becoming a pro so fast because you will not reach that goal and be dissapointed.

ive been swirling since 2002 and am learning and buying paints every chance i get and dont regret it . but then again i get good money for my swirl jobs and i love my own work.

but i still am not happy.

fede gone.
oots gone.

best advise i can give you is keep swirling until you blow yourself away with your own swirl.
and be prepared to protect your lungs and dont spend too much money on paint at 1 time.

and agreed that oots before he quit was on a god level of swirling.

U know stealthtastic u should have stuck it out a little longer and u probably would have done One u liked. U can't expect to get a perfect one after only a couple of dips. I'm confident in my self enough to know that I'll have it mastered in no less than a year. Great things take time and what makes it a special and personal piece of work is the fact that u did it yourself. Have a little more faith in urself buddy

I'm curious if any of the swirlers out there purchased the "trade secrets" that Herc posted online when he officially retired? I figured the cat would be out of the bag after that, and we'd see amazing swirlers all over the place.

I spray a couple lightly misted coats of clear on the white primer. For me the paints stick better to the orange peel of the clear than to paint that's been sanded. The paints run less

What product are u referring to when u say "lightly misted coats of clear" " the paints stick better to the orange peel of the clear"? I just prime my testers with white primer.

Yeah I use white primer too, but then I spray a couple of light mist coats of clearcoat over the primer. I find that the paints stick better to the orange peel of the clear than to primer. I've used Rustoleum, Krylon, and Automotive clear for this and they all work the same

20 people signed up for the video and only 4 went through with it i was one of them 1034.00 and got refunded.

but i think someone might have got exclusive rights some one who has nice neon colors recently.never know but i doubt he would have even given up 4,000 for nothing.

That sucks man... I did notice there was someone with very similar looking neon swirls lately. I just figured he was part of the sale. Wonder if Fede got an offer over the $4000 for exclusive info???

lol never believe this but i got it.
herc gave it away and didnt realise it .
i used a clue and went for it.

got it for free hahahaha.
let me do a whole guitar and ill post pics.
