Question

SynchroniZR pull-up?

Hi,

I was wondering how much pull-up an Ibanez SynchroniZR bridge has?

Thanks,
Alwin

Re: SynchroniZR pull-up?

I just purchased a new SV5470f on **** - liked the concept of the small profile non-locking synchroniZR bridge. Have had it a few days now and been trying to figure out how to adjust trem to get its full range - I've fully backed off the "arm stopper" screw that's used when wanting to lock it from pulling up - also screwed out trem angle adjustment wheel to get tremolo block as far away from body as possible - but still VERY limited up pull range...am I doing something wrong? Suggestions anyone? Any other adjustments to get a bigger pull-up range? Thanks.

Nope, nothing you can do but start carving. An SV has at most 1/2 step of pullup.

Thanks for reply Rich. Yikes, really, a 1/2 step - that's it? Crazy for Ibanez' latest-greatest high tech whammy - with all the bells and whistles ie: cam rollers, zero-point system, angle adjustment wheel, etc - that there's basically NO pull-up range - absurdly disappointing!

That's the way it's intended, it's an SV, not an S

I don't see how it is "absurdly disappointing", it's Ibanez' take on a modern version of the vintage trem. Vintage trems don't typically have much pull-up range, if any at all.

If you wanted more pull-up range you should have gone and bought a regular S series with the ZR trem.
