Tele Fire in progress (pics maybe large)
Front:
Back
Hind view:
Needs clear still. Auto-Air sealer white and black for the paint. Probably will do a few more touch-ups, but leaving it black and white. All my airbrush work using methods taught by Craig Frasier.
Struggling with settings on the new camera obviously.
Gonna be a black bridge that I may continue the fire on, no guard Duncan lil 59 in the neck. Probably a muy grande bridge pup.
Maple neck, I think. I may continue the fire on the neck under the clear.
Thoughts and comments?
I'm really struggling with the neck choice, I have a pile of necks and none of them are
ebony boards
.
The next one will probably be the
fixed bridge
rg7 sitting in my piles for years. Opposite colors though.
Theres also a chromed Squire 51 in the works.

Re: Tele Fire in progress (pics maybe large)
I would go maple for that classic Tele look, sound and feel. What wood is the body?
Looks nice BTW. I would see if you can get one of those bridges that are metal cut flames to set is off in chrome.

Re: Tele Fire in progress (pics maybe large)
The body's been around the garage for years, by weight and look its alder or ash.
I think the flame bridge or any chrome would be too bling, heck I'm doubting non flat black. We'll see what I think in 12 hours when the clear is done drying.

That body is so freaking sweet. I don't know what to say. I feel retarded. And envious.

Re: Tele Fire in progress (pics maybe large)
The technique is not that hard once its shown to you. I was fortunate to learn from the airbrushes
Steve Vai
, well I did pay $700 for a week of training. If you want to airbrush I can't recomend enough Airbrush Actions getaways, you learn lots from super freindly instructors. Plus I know have a diploma that says I'm certified in Cheap Tricks and Special Effects.
This is a warmup for things to come. I have 25 guitars and basses in parts on the way to my house, right now I'm trying to blow through the project pile.

Are they for your personal use, or might we see some in the classifieds section?

I'll just say my GAS isn't that bad. Honestly I don't know if I'll get to keep any of this batch. Lets all just hope Citibank picks me in the next round of layoffs.

It's cleared and waiting for me to assemble. Which I probably will next week, just been busy and stuff gets set aside.
