temperature!!

I am worried about my guitar not because of the temperatures them self but because of the rapid changes. My basement (where my guitars are) fluctuates in the winter from 72 degrees F, and 64 degrees F... because the heater goes on and off. it changes pretty quickly too, and this is quiet a drastic change. I know that if either of these temperatures are constant its ok for the guitar. I also know that i will need more setups and tuning with these fluctuation's. however I am wondering if it has any long term damage to my guitar? since the wood is expanding and contracting everyday, could this make crack, warps, anything at all? help me out!

Re: temperature!!

Hey Devon

I live in Colorado (as you know) Two days ago, it was 80 degrees at 10% humidity AWESOME!!!!!

Yesterday it was 10 degrees at 85% humidity ..... ~burr~

My heater in my house sucks (lot's of variance in temp)

You'll have to tune your guitar (obviously) regardless, and I do a slight truss adjustment (say every two weeks or so) to keep them at optimum performance level

As far as prolonged damage, I wouldn't worry about it at all unless you leave her sitting outside
