The allen wrenches that came with my JEM - What's their size

Hi,

my JEM came with a little bag of allen wrenches. That's a good thing, but I don't know the use of them.
I can figure out the one I use when changing strings, but what of the others ?

Also, as I am quite gifted at loosing the wrenches wherever I go, I would like to know the size of them all, so that I can find new ones more easily...

My JEM came with 6 allen wrenches and another 'thing' that looks quite like Popeye's smoking pipe (but black ).

So can you help me figure out the size and use of all seven of them ?
Thanks a lot !

P.S. : I did a search in the forum and found this topic but it is not exactly the answers I'm looking for (close, but not)...

Well I can tell you that "popeye's pipe" is probably the truss rod wrench but thats all I can tell you since I have never bought a Japanese Ibanez new.

Yes, the popeye pipe looking thing is for truss rod adjustment.

The largest allen wrench is for the adjusting the insert (trem posts) height and the smallest is for the set screw for the insert.

Besides the one for the the lock nut and the saddle, there's one for setting locking down the saddle itself for intonation adjustments and one for securing the locknut itself.

I would love it if someone gave the exact sizes so that we can replace 'em if they get lost.

Standard package that *should* come with all TRS/LoTRS/Edge/LoPro Edge equipped guitars:

(1) 1.5mm allen wrench (for trem post set screws)
(1) 2mm allen wrench (for intonation adj. screws)
(1) 2.5mm allen wrench (for nut attachment screws)
(1) 3mm allen wrench (for string stuff; keep this one on you at all times)
(1) 4mm allen wrench (for bridge height adjustment)
(1) 8mm socket wrench( aka "The Popeye Pipe" ) (for truss rod adjustment)
(1 pr.) of extra trem arm busings (Edge & LoPro only) (spares for your trem arm)
(1) "Electric Guitar & Bass Instruction Manual". *(LOL)
(1) Warranty card (for you to fill out and send to Ibanez)

Some dealers are good about including this "pack" when purchasing a new Ibanez. *
Most are not. *
Be sure to ask for it.

Did I miss anything? *

Thanks guys !

I couldn't have asked for more...

Maybe this should go into the FAQ section, in the answer to 'I just ordered a JEM or Universe. What comes in the box with the guitar?', as the answer only tells 'several allen wrenches', which is a bit vague. What do you think ?

Oh, and I think the warranty card is not included in the european package...

Warranty card is not included in the South American, Asian, New Zealand/Australian, or Canadian package either.
