The "good" old issue

Hi guys

I feel ashamed to post another trem arm fixation problem but I just feel there is something wrong about this.

I've recently bought a new trem arm for my RG570 Edge Pro, it has stayed stiff for about 14 days but started to get loose more and more to the point where it just won't stay in place at all.

I've tried everything from the Rich's superb tech support webpage.
The only fix method I've omitted is the teflon tape becaiuse the arm and the bushings are 1 month old and I can't see how the bushings could go loose after such a short time, I'm trying to leave the arm inside for as long as possible to not make the bushings go loose.

Is there a possibility that the bushings were faulty from the factory or is it normal that they go loose after about 14 days of medium trem arm use ?

I think the bushings are faulty, but if not you should go to a guitar shop and get them to have a look at it.

Heat them over a flame for 5-10 second and they'll swell. I use the gas stove. Since I don't cook that's all I use it for.

Repeat as necessary until they will no longer deform, then replace.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I've tried that as well, being it an electrical stove, I've hold it there for a little longer after it heated up, it helped but only for about 2 hours of playing. I think I'll try the second set of bushings you've packed in the trem arm package.

Who says men don't know their way around the kitchen?
It would seem that instead of the Rachel Ray approach to the stove we choose to use the Macguyver method.

The stove is also useful to light cigarettes and perform ignorant, drunken experiments with your friends. At least in my experience.
