The volume pot on me RG1527 has siezed...

It went from smooth to a little tight to seized in less than a minute today. It was fine before that. I have taken the pot out to see if maybe the knob was caught on the body, but it still wouldn't turn. I held the treaded shaft in pliers and tried to turn the top with a screwdriver but it wouldn't budge.

Has anyone every heard of anything like this happening before. The guitar is less than 9 months old so I will call the shop and see what they have to say. Any other advice?

you could give it to the shop but they will take their time to replace it.
im with elcid on this one - pop off to the bay and get a dimarzio pot.

Should i get the 500k or go for the 1meg pot? I will be getting a pair of blaze pickups for it soon.

rule of thumb is 500k for humbuckers or 250k for singles...

after that any value changes are for personal sound preferences.
