I think so too really, but I am apprehensive of this, as the wire to the scratchplate and electronics isn't long enough to allow me to do a good soldering job, as it's too short (and soldering in that small little cavity is, how shall we put it, a pain
) so unless I have to I don't really want to.
Even though I really should redo all the electronics anyway (
pickup switch is going on both of them, and some push pull malarky could be a lot of fun
)
I'm going to give it another go over the weekend if I can get hold of some tools of a friend. Otherwise it looks like a replacement
