Tightening the barrel jack on a UV

My barrel jack is coming loose, it's quite irritating especially as I tighten it and 1 to 3 days later it's loose again. Not only that, but it's not making good contact with the lead anymore.

Time for a new jack, or am I missing something while tightening it? ANy tips/ideas?

James

probably time for a new one James!

Let me know if you manage to fix it though
(my BFP one needs a little fixing too)

Cheers

I think so too really, but I am apprehensive of this, as the wire to the scratchplate and electronics isn't long enough to allow me to do a good soldering job, as it's too short (and soldering in that small little cavity is, how shall we put it, a pain ) so unless I have to I don't really want to.

Even though I really should redo all the electronics anyway (pickup switch is going on both of them, and some push pull malarky could be a lot of fun )

I'm going to give it another go over the weekend if I can get hold of some tools of a friend. Otherwise it looks like a replacement
