Tightening the locking nut
How tight do you want these generally? My tuning stability was a bit off, so I checked this and found out it was pretty loose, like being able to tighten it with little tension. Do you want them tight, snug, "on-there"...?

Do you mean the pressure pads for the strings? I usually go "snug" and then one more "tug" if that makes sense.....I don't know the actual torque value ;-)

Arg...I wasn't clear again! >_<
What I mean is the actual nut bolted to the body, that is, the tightness of the two bolts on the underside of the neck.

I would do the same but with an added "tug" at the end. You don't want to hear any neck wood crunching...that means too much ;-)

Remember Beethoven? And how he felt the vibrations on the floor from his piano?
I got something rigged up like that. Custom-voiced speaker you could call it...

I tighten the pads tighter than I do the nut. You want it good and snug, but not tight enough to crack wood, which you probably wouldn't hear till it's too late. Finger tight is the term of course
