with some more research i discover only ones specifically for the ibanez will fit, then i find out that theres no way to get the parts of you live in the uk, so my only option it seems is to replace the whole god damn trem

What did you buy ? If you got the standard Floyd replacement ones they will fit. I guess the ones you have fall lower than the Ibanez ones do and you cannot get the locking bolt to meet the hole ?
I have used the original Floyd ones on some Ibanez trems by putting a small piece of bluetac on the bottom of the block before putting it in the saddle. This will hold it up high enough so you can get the bolt in.
If you want to make a more permanent job you can measure the original Ibanez ones and add super glue to the bottom of the new block until it is the same height.
Oh…Just in case anyone is intellectually challenged.
Make sure you let the glue dry before putting the block back in the saddle !!
