Sometimes the trem gets in a wierd position were it won't level out. Try loosening all the strings and retune.

Even better, block the trem, tune, then remove the block.

5 springs is a little ridiculous IMO.

yeah, it seems like your strings are too tight, your spring tension and string tension isn't balanced out. The best to do it would be to block the trem and tune.

Reeto, well the trem is blocked at the moment so ill put on a fresh set of strings and see what effect that has.

Re: Trem-low, my trem is still too high!!

When you get it tuned, adjust the claw so you can remove the block without messing up the tuning dramatically and that should get you pretty close.

5 springs with 10's? Are you sure you're not tuned an octave too high!? LOL. 3 springs is about normal if they're screwed all the way in.

Post some pictures of the claw, the trem and the height of the strings and let us see what you're talking about. 5 springs is overkill IMO, especially for an Ibanez.

Are your new springs long springs or short springs?

Re: Trem-low, my trem is still too high!!

well ive had some debate over that because i started with 3 all the same, someone suggest putting in more spring went ot this store and got 2 extra but they dont seem to be tensed as much as the orginal 3.
so i think i could be the springs.
