Trem replacement.

I want to replace my ibanez trem with an original floyd rose trem, but i want it to float by cutting a recess out of it if that makes sence. Any ideas or maybe some blueprints or measurements to do this. i know the bolts to fit the trem to the body fit perfectly, i just want do the rest so it's level witht the body and set it up so it floats, flutters etc etc.

Re: Trem replacement.

In my opinion, the easiest, and most sensible way to do it, since I'm assuming you don't have some professional routing set up, is with a dremel. They sell routering bits at about 4 bucks a pop that make short work of the job, and I think you've got alot more control with the dremel. If you don't have one, a power drill should work fine. You can find routing templates at the floyd rose website.
