I love my new musicman axis but i'd quite like to be able to do some via'isms (flutters etc) only snag is the floyd rests against the body..just wondering if
anyone in the same situation has dared to do any routeing ?

Re: Trem routing for Musicman AXIS ?

I haven't done it myself, but a guy I kind of knew 10 or so years back did it to a purple EVH. He told me he just couldn't get used to it (blocked, I guess), so he had it done and absolutely loved it. Each to their own I guess, but there is no way I'd do it to my EVH. I dont know how long you have had yours, but you do get used to it. And there is always the bonus of easy detuning and breaking a string and the guitar not going out of tune. At least you can finish the song if your'e playing live.

I'd just buy another guitar.

Different guitars Dutchie. While the axis may look like an EVH, it's just not the real one IMO. I'd say hack away at it
