*i did a quick search and didn't find my answer*
ok, i work in a pawn shop (more on that in a bit) and there's a uv7wh here that i think i'll buy. the guy who lost it put a
tremel-no on it. this is the first time i've ever seen one in real life before and personally, I HATE IT!!
it does seem to do the job it's intended to do, but at the cost of ZERO bar flutter. so, that's my question: will taking the tremel-no off and putting all the original crap back restore the flutter? also, this is the first guitar i've played with the
edge pro trem - is it possible that the no-flutter problem is not a result of the tremel-no and just a characteristic of the edge pro?
now, about working at the pawn shop . . . if any of you guys aren't set in a career yet and would like to find cheap cool stuff you might want to try working at one.
i don't really work in the actual pawn shop, i just handle the musical instruments that come in. i've been here for quite a while, but just in the past year alone i have bought for the store and bought a few for myself the following guitars (this doesn't include amps, pedals, etc.)
'02 les paul standard . . . price paid: $300.00
'91 uv77mc . . . price paid: $800.00 (if you happen to look at my other posts this isn't the one i already own)
rg550 20th . . . price paid: $250.00
pgm100 . . . price paid: $250.00
'65 fender bass V (VERY RARE!!) . . . price paid: $40.00!!!
this jem i'm posting about . . . price paid: $250
martin d-28 (can't remember the year) . . . price paid: $400
. . . tons and tons of random am. std. strats, mex. strats, schecters . . . o' you get the point.
that's not to say this stuff comes in everyday . . . mostly it's all junk, but there ARE those days.
. . . . just a thought.
thanks guys
