Tremolo Bar Angle - Differences?

Hey guys!

I was preparing for a recording yesterday and decided to change strings and setup both of my 7-strings. One is a '01 UV777BK an the other one is a '05 RG8127. I was patiently setting them up when I noticed that if I swapped tremolo bars the UV bar allowed much more pull than the RG (only swapping the bar, not changing anything on the bridge whatsoever)
So I grabbed them side by side and I realized that the RG bar's tip is 1cm lower than the UV's.

Is this OK or is my RG bar defective?

Have you looked at both bars to see if they're bent differently? Post a picture of both bars side by side. Personally, I don't think that by having a different angle, a bar could give you more pull range.

Yes, they are bent differently. The UV's bar tip is 1 cm higher than the RG's when placed sde by side.

And yes, it gives you more pull since if the bar is lower it will reach the body earlier.

I-m starting to think my RG's bar is faulty. I may have to buy a replacement.

Ok, so the bars are bent differently. That still doesn't justify one bar allowing you to pull higher than the other one when the trem cavity is the the one thing that would determine how high the trem can go and not the bar.

If you meant, however, that you can divebomb the trem lower because one bar is bent different than the other, then that's a whole different story altogether.
