Tremolo spring retainer? - an optional feature?

Heeeeello all...

The lopro on my s540 doesn't have that bar that keeps the springs from popping off (not that it ever happened). *Is this common? *Where can I get one?

Another thing... in the setup aera there are often reference to set-screws on the trem posts.. I can't find them, and I am beginning to doubt their existence (on me'axe anyways).

Are the set-screws and spring bar Jem-only features?

:frog:Lwi mmm.. tasty flies..

Are you sure it's a Lo-Pro edge and not just an Edge. I'm not sure if the Edge has that retainer or what comes on the S540 but the Lo-Pro on my Yamaha has that bar or had the bar i lost mine hehe * I've never had springs pop off and i'm fairly rough with the trem

Yes, I'm positive its a lo-pro.

I'm not worried about springs popping off, its just that I'd like to have all the parts .. that's all.

Tremolo spring retainer?

the "block lock bar" has been a standard feature on the Edge/LoPro since they were made. You can order this part from any ibanez dealer. See the Jemsite|Guitars|TechSetup area for full parts lists and diagrams (and some list prices) ...glen

The set screws on the posts are recessed down inside the posts themselves. You can not really see them. You have to have the correct size alan wrench and just stick it down in there and turn until it drops into the hole.
