I've learned from 20 years of playing Floyds to drop the heel of my palm on the bridge and apply a little back pressure when playing double stops. It helps keep the
string tension balanced and the double stops ring almost true.
I keep my right hand in a normal position - above the strings with only my arm touching the body - when playing single notes and chords.
Another thing I've noticed: Since I've been playing Floyds 99% of the time for the past 20 years, when ever I pick up a
Les Paul or Hardtail guitar, for the first 10 minutes or so, I tend to over-bend single note runs. Sometimes as much as a half step.
